An environmental education charity founded by young people aged 8-25, in the former Soviet Republic of Georgia.
Oceans Project Georgia (OPG) began with a group of inspirational 12 year olds who were learning English through the BBC Oceans television series. Now a registered Georgian charity, OPG has grown from a 32 week face to face programme, to a free online course open to any young person, from anywhere in the world. OPG Patrons include BBC Oceans' Presenter and Expedition Leader Paul Rose, environmentalist and ocean rower Roz Savage, and ESA's Antarctica Medic Dr Alexander Kumar (currently Expedition Medic for Sir Rannulph Fiennes's 'The Coldest Journey').
