Wildscreen Update

View the Festival schedule

You can now view a daily schedule of the 150+ talks, debates, film screenings, training workshops and social events. Keep checking the Festival website over the coming weeks as we add more details of speakers, sessions and trade show exhibitors.

Highlights of the programme include:

"The Moment My Heart Stopped!"  Hosted by Alastair Fothergill, the opening night event features some of the dramatic adventures wildlife filmmakers have faced… all in the line of duty! High adventure, danger, sadness and heart-stopping moments – the world’s leading filmmakers tell us how they got the shots, how they survived... and what happened next.

"Wildscreen's Got Talent!"  Eight would-be presenters take to the stage in a bid to impress our three tough judges – Carl Hall, Chief Executive, Parthenon Entertainment, Wendy Darke, Executive Producer, BBC NHU and Jo Sarsby, Talent Agent.  Wildscreen's Got Talent will see our hopefuls battle it out before a live audience who will decide which of them wins the opportunity to be mentored by Jo Sarsby Personal Management.

"In Conversation With..." renowned naturalist and conservationist, George Schaller, who talks to Brian Leith about his passion for the natural world and his work as a conservationist. He reflects on the new generation of conservationists his work has influenced, and the future prospects for our natural world.

A unique introduction to the world of 3D with a day dedicated to exploring the exciting opportunities 3D offers to wildlife filmmaking. The industry's key players present the latest cutting-edge technology and techniques, and describe the opportunities and challenges of working in this new format.

Celebrate Discovery's 25th anniversary with Clark Bunting, Discovery Channel President and General Manager, giving his unique perspective on best practices in a constantly evolving industry, and illustrating the myriad ways Discovery plans to lead the business for years to come.

Delegate registration directory deadline this Friday

Register to attend the Wildscreen Festival by Friday 27 August to ensure that your details are included in the Wildscreen Festival Directory. The Directory is used across the industry long after the Festival is over and contains valuable details on all films entered into this year's Panda Awards film competition. Delegate information is printed to give individuals and organisations the best possible opportunities for networking at the Festival as well as providing a contact list for future reference. Delegates are listed in the Directory alphabetically, by country and by organisation.

Don't miss your opportunity to be listed in the Directory. Book your place now.  Registered delegates will also be able view and search our online delegate list from Tuesday 31 August.

Your current web browser must be updated to version 7 of Internet Explorer (IE7) to take advantage of all of template's capabilities.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.

Get free downloads for Internet Explorer 7, including recommended updates as they become available. To download Internet Explorer 7 in the language of your choice, please visit the Internet Explorer 7 worldwide page.
