The Wild & Scenic Environmental Film Festival is the largest festival of its kind in the US. We screen films that inspire people to re-examine their values and behaviors, providing a context to translate these individual commitments into social action for environmental change.

At Wild & Scenic, filmgoers are transformed into a congregation of committed activists, dedicated to saving our increasingly threatened planet.  We showcase environmental and adventure films that illustrate the Earth’s beauty, the challenges facing our planet, and the work communities are doing to protect and heal the environment.  Through these films, Wild & Scenic both informs people about the state of the world and inspires them to take action.

Our intimate small town setting nestled in the Sierra Nevada foothills is the perfect complement to the personal connections and networking opportunities that the festival offers to the artists, activists and community members advancing the global environmental movement. A favorite among filmmakers and film lovers alike, Wild and Scenic screens only the finest environmental and adventure films and hosts activists, celebrities, filmmakers, authors and speakers. Our festival also includes a variety of happenings in town: workshops, parties, wine tastings, café talks, book signings, and art shows.

The ninth annual festival will be held in Nevada City, California from January 14 - 16, 2011

Your current web browser must be updated to version 7 of Internet Explorer (IE7) to take advantage of all of template's capabilities.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.

Get free downloads for Internet Explorer 7, including recommended updates as they become available. To download Internet Explorer 7 in the language of your choice, please visit the Internet Explorer 7 worldwide page.
